Tourtour is a picturesque little village in the central Var, northwest of Draguignan and southeast of the Lac de Ste Croix and du Verdon.
It is considered as one of the prettiest villages in France and is called ‘the village in the sky’.
Tourtour lays in the midst of vineyards, lavender fields, olive and pine trees. Perched on a hilltop it overlooks a vast area of Provence, from  the Mediterranean in the east to the mountains of Sainte Victoire in the west.
The narrow streets are lined by stone houses. Fountains, alleys, stairs and vaulted passageways offer a pleasant walk in this typical village.
